Care Groups

God has called on His followers to encourage and support one another, and Care Groups helps us answer that call. They exist to strengthen relationships, help connect people together, and meet the needs of those who attend FCCC.
More Info

Care Groups are established within each of the Adult Sunday School classes. Four key elements are at the heart of each Care Group: Prayer, Service, Fellowship, and Outreach.

  • Prayer: Those present on Sunday mornings pray for those with needs. However, the prayer is not limited to that specific time.  The group members continue to pray throughout as long as the need is evident.
  • Service: Whenever a need arises in one of our fellow believer’s life, the group maps out a way to best respond to help meet the need and show support for that individual.  Often, meals are delivered to that person, cards of encouragement are sent, or other forms of care are given.
  •  Fellowship: From home-made pizza parties to game nights, each group plans and hosts social events that promote friendship and fun.
  • Outreach: God does not want us to miss out on sharing His good news with those outside the four walls of FCCC.  From serving meals at the Gospel Mission to greeting our troops who return from overseas, the Care Groups strive to share Christ’s love with the surrounding community.

If you are hurting, or want to help minister, then join a Care Group.  We gladly welcome and invite you to become a part of this wonderful ministry.

Please contact Pastor Grant Curtis at 817-232-2010 or at the email listed  below if you would like more information on our Care Groups.

True Life: Young Adult Ministry

Young Adults face many unique challenges in today’s world. Being “busy” is an everyday occurrence as the speed of life continues to increase. By forming strong relationships and experiencing life together, True Life strives to aid Young Adults in navigating through our culture.
More Info

The Young Adults group includes those in their 20’s and 30’s.  Both singles and married couples are a part of this ministry.  Each month our group gathers for a time of fellowship outside the church.  Often, at these gatherings, we typically play volleyball or some other activity, while others just kick back and socialize. In the past we have hosted events from Super Bowl parties to crawfish boils.

We also meet every Sunday morning from 9:50AM to 10:40AM for Sunday School.  Praying for each other is a key element of our class.  Open discussion and questions are always welcome.  The Sunday school lessons reflect on contemporary issues and how the Bible guides our lives in this day and age.

The Young Adult’s Care Group adds a powerful dynamic to the Young Adult ministry.  Members of this group have the opportunity to minister to the specific needs that exist among young Adults.  Our goal is to make certain no person in need is overlooked (see Care Groups Section).

You are welcome to join us anytime, so come expecting to have fun, and enjoy life with us.

Christian Education

Fossil Creek Church has a wide array of classes for children, youth, and adults. At present, there are six different Adult Sunday School classes. Sunday school classes begin at age 2 and run through Senior Adult. Each children’s class is taught by a team of two teachers and contains a small student-to-teacher ratio.
More Info

The Sunday school hour occurs between first and second service.  Classes begin at 9:50 am and end at 10:40 am.  Each of the children’s classes consist of two consecutive age groups combined.  For instance, the 5th and 6th graders compile one class.

Please contact Pastor Grant at the email listed below if you have any questions with our Christian Education Program.

All of our Adult classes focus on a variety of topics with the curriculum typically updated quarterly.  Lessons range from studying certain books of the Bible, to practical parenting skills.  If you feel more comfortable with Spanish, then our bi-lingual class my be your preference.  Information on the current curriculum is available at the information booth in the main foyer.

Senior Adults

Senior Adult Ministries at Fossil Creek Community Church is for adults 55 and over.
More Info

Prime Timers, as it is called, meets the fourth Tuesday of each month for lunch, fellowship, games, and activities.

The major emphasis of our ministry is to encourage our seniors to participate in all the church ministries including teachers, greeters, nursery care personnel; activities that foster spiritual growth, evangelistic outreach, and set standards for the generations that follow.

Prime Timers are challenged regularly to assist in the development of our children, to be involved with children's ministries; to be role models and examples to our youth; to use the knowledge and wisdom learned through the years in the ministries at Fossil Creek Community Church.

Each senior adult is cordially invited to be part of the ministry as the Prime Timers endeavor to meet the needs of the senior adult.
